Energy Mining International has again profiled Aspen Air as part of a follow up to their original article.  In a wide-ranging piece that covers topics from Aspen’s local presence to our recent expansion EMI has captured the essence of what it is that Aspen Air is all about.  As we continue to grow as a company it is important to Aspen to maintain our unique and valuable culture of customer service and personal relationships with our customers and clients.  This piece and its examples show that since its existence Aspen has stayed true to its core values and will continue to do so as we continue to expand.  In fact EMI’s summary is that “Aspen continues to evolve its “service first” perspective while maintaining its local roots and community support.”  To read the article click here.

With the recent bitter cold spell around we often take for granted the ability to get in out of the cold and to warm up in the comfort of our own homes.  However for some the cost of keeping the heat on is sometimes too much as other necessities like food, shelter and medicine eat up what little resources are available.  That is why Aspen is a proud supporter of Energy Share of Montana.

A non-profit organization that helps upwards of 3000 Montana families a year with emergency bill assistance this organization helps families in need all year round.  Their services also include help securing weatherization, endowment funds, safety inspections on home heating equipment among other services.  Aspen chose this organization because of its grass roots help it provides directly to those most in need in our own backyard.

So if you get the chance, please go to their site and, if at all possible, donate to those in need.

Happy New Year from all of us at Aspen Air Corporation.

With the title of ‘Aspen Air Invests In Lockwood’ the Billings Gazette has helped us to announce the grand opening of our newest production facility. Ribbon Cutting

As part of our growth plan and in spite of increased competition, “…

Aspen Air U.S. Corp. chose to double its production of industrial gases in  Lockwood and to serve the energy play from Billings.  “We decided to build here. We feel it is so stable,” chief executive Onkar  Dhaliwal said. “The living conditions are just better here.”  Having been in the area since 2006 Aspen Air is no stranger to the area and its wealth of construction and supporting resources.  Aspen was quite aggressive in its timeline and its intentions but through a combination of hard work, careful planning and decades of experience in the industry we pulled it off.

The new facility is located on the same land as our first unit and allows for us to significantly increase of Nitrogen and Oxygen production capacity.  “This new plant will more than double our production capacity and add an additional level of back-up supply for customers in Montana, North Dakota and Wyoming.” said Rolf Wenzel, Senior VP and CFO.

The company is adding up to 5 new permanent positions in plant operations and transportation in order to manage the new capacity and is pleased to be expanding its footprint in Montana.  “When we built our first plant in Billings 7 years ago, we said we were here for the long term.”  said Dhaliwal, “this major expansion of our production and logistics infrastructure demonstrates how bullish we are about Billings, not only due to the continued growth in the Bakken oilfield service sector, but also in mining, food processing , medical, oil refining and manufacturing sectors.  We have really seen Billings grow into a vibrant city in the 7 years since we moved in.” said Dhaliwal.  “It makes it easier to attract great quality employees to live here.”

Aspen Air continues to contribute to the community in which it operates.  For the second straight year Aspen Air has donated to the St. Vincent’s SAINTS fundraising ball.  By underwriting the Pebble Beach Golf experience for the silent auction Aspen helped the event to net over $1,000,000.00 in support of St. Vincent Children’s Healthcare Pediatric unit.  When asked about this event Onkar Dhaliwal (CEO) said “We here at Aspen Air are proud community members and the opportunity for us to support a tremendous cause like this one is obvious.”  He went on to add “We benefit from the strong sense of community as a source for many things from our valued employees to our equally important clients.  This is just one small way of showing this community how much we appreciate being a part of it.”

Aspen Trailer at nightAspen today announced that it has doubled its transportation assets thereby giving Aspen the single biggest fleet of cryogenic equipment in the region.  “We see our clients growing and we need to keep pace in order to maintain our valued reputation as a quality service provider” said Onkar Dhaliwal, CEO of Aspen.  So rather then play ‘catch up’ Aspen has chosen to prepare for the increased demand they are starting to see.  “Many of our customers are, in fact, growing their business and using more product to support that growth.  We also see a significant upswing in demand coming from the oil patch in North Dakota.  Given these two factors we decided to get ahead of the curve and put in place additional equipment now.” said Rick Kaun, Vice President of Sales & Marketing.  Aspen is also growing its storage assets and working on increasing production capacity as well.  Mr. Dhaliwal closes with the following comment: “There are some exciting things in our near future that we are looking forward to sharing with you.  So stay tuned!”
